Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Schofield Outdoors Inc ("we," "us," or "our") website at schofieldoutdoors.com and your engagement of our lawn care and landscaping services in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website or requesting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Services
Schofield Outdoors Inc provides professional lawn care and landscaping services including but not limited to:
- Weekly lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, blowing)
- Spring and fall cleanup
- Mulch installation
- Landscape design and installation
- Core aeration and overseeding
- Seasonal yard maintenance
The specific scope of work for each engagement will be outlined in a written quote or service agreement provided to you before work begins. We reserve the right to decline service requests at our discretion.
Pricing and Payment
All pricing is provided in writing through quotes or estimates prior to the start of any work. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise specified.
- Recurring maintenance services are billed on a regular schedule (weekly, biweekly, or per-visit) as agreed upon in your service plan
- One-time services (cleanups, mulching, landscape installations) require a deposit of up to 50% for projects exceeding $1,000, with the remaining balance due upon completion
- Payments are accepted through our Jobber client portal (credit card, ACH), check, or other methods as arranged
- Late payments may incur a service fee and may result in suspension of services until the balance is current
Pricing may be adjusted seasonally or annually. We will provide advance notice of any rate changes before they take effect.
Scheduling
All scheduling is managed through our Jobber field service platform. You will receive automatic notifications regarding upcoming service visits, arrivals, completions, and any schedule changes.
- Weekly maintenance services are performed on a consistent day each week, weather permitting
- Rain delays are rescheduled to the next available day, typically within 24 to 48 hours
- We require reasonable access to your property on scheduled service days (gates unlocked, pets secured, vehicles cleared from work areas)
- If we are unable to access your property on a scheduled day due to obstructions, the visit may be skipped and billed as a completed visit
Cancellation and Termination
We believe our clients should stay because they want to, not because they are locked into a contract. Our service arrangements operate as follows:
- Recurring services: You may cancel or pause recurring lawn maintenance services with at least 7 days written notice. No cancellation fees apply.
- Scheduled one-time services: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled one-time service (cleanup, mulching, etc.) may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the quoted price to cover crew scheduling and material procurement.
- Landscape design projects: For projects where materials have been ordered or work has commenced, cancellation terms will be outlined in the project agreement. Deposits on custom plant orders and hardscape materials are generally non-refundable once ordered.
We reserve the right to terminate services at any time for reasons including but not limited to non-payment, unsafe working conditions, or repeated access issues.
Property Access and Responsibility
By engaging our services, you grant us permission to access your property during scheduled service windows. You are responsible for:
- Informing us of any underground utilities, irrigation lines, septic systems, or other buried features that could be affected by our work
- Securing pets during scheduled service visits
- Clearing vehicles and personal property from work areas
- Notifying us of any special instructions or changes to your property
We will exercise reasonable care while working on your property. Please notify us within 24 hours of any concerns regarding our work so we can address them promptly.

- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services
If you believe damage has occurred as a result of our work, please contact us within 48 hours so we can inspect the area and resolve the issue. We stand behind our work and will make reasonable efforts to correct any problems caused by our crew.
