Schofield Outdoors is a lawn care and landscaping company based in Annapolis, Maryland, founded by Kevin Schofield. The company was formally branded in 2019, but Kevin's story in the industry goes back much further -- all the way to 2005, when he was just 11 years old.
It started with a push mower and a broom in his childhood neighborhood of Arnold, MD. Kevin spent his summers and weekends cutting grass for neighbors, earning trust one yard at a time. Through high school and college, he never stopped. While his peers were moving on to other things, Kevin kept coming back to the work he loved -- taking care of lawns and the people who live in the homes behind them.
That first client from 2005? They are still a Schofield Outdoors client today, over twenty years later. That kind of loyalty does not happen by accident. It happens because Kevin treats every property as if it were his own and every client as a relationship, not a transaction.

Kevin's background extends far beyond landscaping. His years in the trades give him a perspective that most lawn care operators simply do not have.
Before fully committing to Schofield Outdoors, Kevin spent years working across multiple trades -- carpentry, electrical work, flooring installation, hauling, pesticide application, and construction. Each of those experiences built a different skill set, and all of them inform how he approaches outdoor projects today.
When Kevin assesses a landscape, he is not just looking at the grass and the garden beds. He is evaluating drainage patterns that could affect a foundation. He is noticing grading issues that a standard mow-and-blow crew would never catch. He is thinking about how a retaining wall will interact with the soil behind it over the next decade, not just the next season.
